Time flies when you're a parent (especially with your second baby!), and in the blink of an eye, my little wildflower, Heidi Claire, turned one this week! To celebrate, I had to throw a wildflower-themed first birthday party to encapsulate the beauty and joy Heidi has brought into our lives since she was born. The day was filled with vibrant colors, unique wildflower decor, and a whole lot of love!

Heidi's bow (linked here) from Holy City Bow Co. was the first thing I bought months ago, and I knew her whole party had to be based on it! Her adorable dress (linked here) was an Amazon find, and it matched her birthday bow perfectly!

My dress (linked here) was also an Amazon find, giving us a fun mommy and me coordinating look!

Creating the decor for Heidi's party was a labor of love, a blend of wildflower elegance and balloon whimsy that perfectly encapsulated the joy and beauty of her first year. From the locally sourced wildflowers that brought a touch of nature indoors to the DIY balloon wall that added a dose of playfulness, every element worked in harmony to create the perfect backdrop for Heidi's big day!

The heart of the decor was undeniably the wildflower floral arrangements! Normally, I would source the flowers from Trader Joe's, but after visiting Joe's Farm earlier this season, I knew I had to source the florals from this local wildflower farm. The result? A stunning array of colors and textures radiated natural beauty and uniqueness in each bloom that we got to handpick from their wildflower field.

I love a balloon arch, but this time, I took on the task of crafting a whimsical balloon wall for the first time. I found two balloon arch kits from Amazon for the perfect blend of pinks, blues, and yellows to begin to bring my vision to life. With a lot of patience, almost zero sleep, and a dash of creativity, the balloon wall slowly came together to create a lovely backdrop for photos and Heidi's cake smash.

Everything I used for the balloon wall is linked below:

Above the table, I draped these floral embroidered tablecloths (linked here) and added a banner of all of Heidi's monthly milestone photos (linked here) to see her grow over her first year!

Heidi's smash cake was another adventure as she has food allergies. So I decided to make a frozen yogurt cake, as I knew yogurt was safe for her to eat. (Go watch the tutorial here). I also crafted the cake topper using cardstock from Hobby Lobby and my Cricut machine (linked here) - I'll have to do a tutorial on that soon! To add the finishing touches to the cake, I had to add a few fresh wildflowers, of course.

Everything I used to make and decorate her smash cake is linked below:

As for the rest of the desserts, Mimmie's Cookies (@mimmiescookies) made the most beautiful wildflower cookies. I also added a few donut towers since the party was in the morning. And to complete the table, pink cotton candy-flavored popcorn, and some homemade cupcakes topped with these adorable balloons (linked here) for all the kids to enjoy.

Finally, for a fun party favor, I added adorable flower crowns (linked here) to the edge of the table, adding one to the 1 balloon on the balloon wall as well to tie the decor all together.

Heidi really is a little ray of sunshine, bringing joy wherever she goes. Celebrating her was so much fun! Getting to sing happy birthday and see her have so much fun playing in her smash cake and opening gifts with the perfect wildflower details and whimsical balloon wall as a backdrop with our closest friends and family was the first birthday of this mama's dreams.
